Back in the burbs there isn't much occasion for dressing up and stomping around in heels. However I am still an admirer of the summer shoes that are coming out. One shoe that I noticed that I had never really given much attention to before that I am digging are the slingback heels. I love the simplicity and shape of them. I think what is so great about then is that they are also very simple and classic and can he worn casual or for a night out on the town. Topshop.com has many variations of this classic style. I like how they are playing with some fun summer colors that really pop, and can add that extra va-voooom to complete and outfit. I also like how they play with a couple of different colors all in one shoe. I have been seeing this more and more over the past couple of years, and life how there are color contrasts in the shoes. I think that while it adds a bit more of a fun side, they are still classy shoes and aren't just for little kids anymore.
Additionally, this summer there are a lot more variations of the clog. Last summer I really noticed them becoming more fashionable. I have to admit I used to think that they were not cute at all, and did not understand how they were still being made. However, I found myself purchasing a pair of heel clogs like shoes, and they soon became one of my favorite shoes in my closet. What Topshop also did was they have small variations of the clog look and then they play with bright colors perfect for the summer, and that one doesn't see everywhere. They also play with interesting materials for instance the clog that is made from reflective material. I am very drawn to that version of the shoe because I haven't seen that done really anywhere else, and I admire the fact that it could potentially look very tacky, but it actually looks very high end fashionesque.
XOXO
