Hip Happity Hoppity

For starter go to this link and just have it play: Delightful Surprise This song is just so upbeat and bouncy that it instantly puts you in a better mood. What led me to finally finding this song was Spiceworld. As I was falling asleep last night I decided that I wanted to watch Spiceworld because I haven't seen it since it came out. This song was playing and twas so great. Second discovery of the movie was where my fear/dislike of public bathrooms probably came from apart from the fact that they are public restrooms. In the movie a reporter emerges from one, so maybe maybe that is where it came from haha.
Next order of business is how much I am loving Herve Leger!! I have always loved the feel of Herve Leger, but I am really loving the line featured on Shopbop. I have always liked the look of what I think of as the "bandage" style dress. That is what I have always remembered about Herve Leger. Even though others have attempted this style, Herve Leger does a great job at "spicing" up and adding new style to the "bandage" style dresses. I think that the cuts, and overlapping on some of the dresses is done very well and tastefully. I also really like the colors used. Some of the dresses are even pizzazzed a bit with sequins, yet are still keeping to the feel of the rest of the line.

I also love the fact that there are bottoms that follow suit the the style of the above dresses.

I love how all of the above look with heels. They just have such a polished look that would be great for the office (more so the skirt) or a night out. Das is all. Maybe a little DVF tomorrow? I think so!!
Also might I add I know the lining of the pictures is off, and it bugs me too but I have been trying to fix it for about 30 min now and I am frustrated and can't get it to appear how it appears in my window so we will just have to deal.

BOO!-OOTS

First thought I know so clever what I did combining a halloween scare with boots. Anyways the other day I was I was searching online for a pair of boots. I have been looking for a good pair, that have a bit of detail on them to make them special, but not so over the top that they would be tired before I even wore them. Another factor I was looking for was a boot that has a good cut to it. It is often hard to find a good cut as well as a boot that doesn't have too much embellishments or dazzling. On my quest for a boot that fits this criteria I did find a couple boots that caught my eye. They are a little--and by little I mean majority--out of my price range. A girl can dream can't she.
The first pair are Hunter boots.
What I really like about these boots are that they are very classic looking. I especially love the way the top is cut in a round top. The shape of the sole is also quite nice. I like how they aren't heels. It has a slight heel but not so that it would be uncomfortable to walk around in for a long time. I also quite enjoy how the boot is accented with the Hunter H, but that it is embellished in a classy way, that would not make it outdated the next season. These boots would be great paired with either a pair of leggings or medium blue colored jeans. To top it off--no pun intended--an oxford. Theses two following shirts are ones that I saw on Topshop. I think they both would go particularly well with these boots.

The next pair of boots are by Frye. Frye has seemed to have perfected the art of boots, and these next ones have more detail to them--but in a good way.
What I particularly like about these boots is the contrast of the colors. I like how they are incorporated together, and I like how there appears to be a textural differences if there actually isn't. I think that the buckle at the bottom is also a nice addition. It adds something special to it while, not being too over the top.
The last pair of boots is by Hunter, just like the first pair.
What I like about these boots is the shape, like the first pair. I also like the Hunter logo. It is different, and really goes with the motif of the boot, of being worn and weathered. The silhouette is simple and classic. The sole of the shoe shows that the shoe is also meant to be practical, which Hunter is very good at.
That is all. This has been boo-tastic!!

Blair Waldorf--Winter Coats

So today to celebrate Halloween I channeled my inner Blair Waldorf. I had a big bow headband paired with tights and heels. A) the heels I was wearing I loved--they were bright blueish-purpleish B) Within the first minute my feet were dying. For the past year or so I have worn quite sensible flat shoes, so this was a different experience for my feet. I was also noticing that the lower the heel, and less of a direct slant the more pressure there is put on the balm of your foot. So if you have sensitive feet like mine, I would recommend heels that have more of a slant. Then again it is partial to what fits best for you, and I would definitely recommend putting the shoes you are going to wear out, and put them on and walk around for a little bit before you leave, so you can decide if the pain is bearable or if you should resort to different shoes!
Anyways in keeping to the Blair Waldorf theme of the day I thought I would post this winter jacket (because it has become absolutely freezing outside, and the heaters don't seem to be working) that really stood out from gossip girl for me. I have been looking for one, just like this forever, or even for the name of the style and have had no luck. So if anyways does find out any info about this jacket please let me know!!
So here is the jacket. It is a winter jacket without sleeves, instead with slits to insert your arms. What I particularly love about this jacket apart form that it is unique and not something everyone has, is the fact that a) you get to wear full length gloves and b) the addition of the gloves gives your own spin on the outfit, and you can change it up accordingly to the rest of your outfit.
That is all for my Blair Waldorf inspired day. On one last note there is another jacket that I absolutely love. It is another statement piece jacket like the above. It was the tweed jacket that was in the movie Confessions of A Shopoholic.
Reasons why I love this jacket, is because obviously the tweed is the main pattern of the jacket, but I particularly love the big stitching. I also love how it is being worn with color, and that even when not buttoned it looks amazing. This book reminds me of the green tweed jacket featured in F.R.I.E.N.D.S. The episode when they are having a party for Rachel, and Phoebe comes back after the party looking for one of her rat babies. It is similar to this jacket, in the sense that it is tweed. However the pattern may have more of an plaid influence.
As I am going through these jackets I might as well add a classic.

Ahhh the classic Burberry trenchcoat. It is not a classic for no reason, and there isn't much to add. Burberry This link has many other great coats shown. Ones that standout for me especially with the same feel as the previous are:
              ~ Coat 1
              ~ Coat 2
              ~ Coat 3

That is all for now. Bundle up and keep warm!!

Sprightly Pumps

Yah I figured out how to upload pictures!!
So I thought I would start off the clickity clacks with this beautiful pair of Christian Louboutins.
These caught my eye last year, as I was looking through the shoe section on the Bergdorf Goodman website. Now obviously Louboutins are classic gorgeous shoes, and I love the simpler heels, but I think that these are just so amazing because they hold the shape of the classic shoes I love, and usually I don't like too too much pizazz on heels, but these are to die for. The electric blue of the heel goes amazingly with the cherry red bottom, and the various colors of the jewels on the rest of the shoe.

Becks

So recently I have been admiring the Beckhams even more so than before. It all started with ellen having David Beckham on her show... of course where all of my distractions take place. So David did one of those pranks that I just find oh so amusing: http://www.youtube.com/user/theellenshow

So naturally then I started youtubing, and ended up finding a couple documentaries about the Beckham's which of course I watched because I had finished my book the day before and didn't really have much to do. As I was watching these documentaries I realized even more so than I knew before that I really LOVED Victoria's style. Now this seems to be a relatively apparent conclusion, but just seeing how she seamlessly put together outfits, and could literally pull off anything it got me thinking/dreaming of these beautiful clothes that were flashing before my eyes. Then today I was looking through various sites that I usually skim through and was bookmarking the clothes that I particularly liked, and and definitely added to the ever growing wish list of clothes I would love to have in my wardrobe.
Then recently I was just uploading all these pictures on my computer so I can remember them at a later date. I usually like to upload pictures of a certain style that I particularly love at the time, or styles that I have been looking/envisioning for a while but haven't be able to find. Now if I had any artistic ability I would love to be able to sketch out, but if anyone knows anything about me it is that the extent of my artistic talent is hearts and flower... and the occasional butterfly or bee.
So as I was flipping through my bookmarks trying to clear up and delete the bookmarks I don't need anymore I saw the bookmark for my other blog, visited it, saw create a new blog, and decided that I would create this blog, since I wanted to have a tab on my other blog, however I am not that technologically smart. So anyways that brings me to this blog, which is mostly for my own self records, but at this initial moment I am thinking that I will try to post pictures of tops, bottoms, or shoes (hence the name of the blog) that particularly strike my fancy, and then possibly comment as to what in particular about them I love. So we will see.
Clickity Clack be back in a slack!!

p.s. I know that doesn't really make sense but I mean when does much of what I say do? haha
